The team was formed in 2006, purchasing $6 billion of whole loans and completing 9 structured transactions. The team's principals are former managing members of Emax Financial Group LLC, and have worked together for a number of years with a combined 60+ years experience in the financial services industry. STX Capital's assignments have been in North America, Europe, and Asia.

The team's experience ranges from the distressed markets, where the principals were key participants in the RTC liquidations of the 1990s, purchasing approximately $6bn in assets, to advisors to GMAC/RFC, to valuations of servicing platforms.

STX Capital's clients include hedge funds, servicers, mortgage banks, and private investors. The firm has also undertaken mandates for leveraged recapitalizations.
